Taking time to chill helps reduce stress.

Less is more. Remove distractions.

When you clear out old things and their old energy, not only do you free up space in your home and mind, it also helps you to move forward in life and creates mental space for new life experiences. Clutter does not lend itself well to the creation of a soothing, comfortable space. It can do the opposite - create anxiety, a sense of claustrophobia, or frustration when you can’t find anything among all your stuff. So the first step is to determine what objects you value the most, and remove anything that doesn't serve you. Sort of Marie Kondo style meets a flamethrower.

Each of us has our own definition of "chill".

For many people, it’s spa music, candles, incense, maybe a little fountain in the background. For others, it's putting their feet in a warm lavender bath while drinking an aperitif. Or to be under headphones listening to Deep Purple with the dog at their feet. You might become more relaxed by stretching in your dedicated yoga room, uninterrupted, with no chiming notifications and a focus on your own body and breath, and soft music in the background. Your savasana will be that much better. These are just a few examples of different varieties of “chill”.

Reducing stress improves your health.

Reduced Inflammation

Stress is the ultimate immune-modulator, from slowing wound healing to diminishing the protective effects of vaccines to increasing your susceptibility to infections.*

Lower risk of Illness

Many health care professionals also consider chronic stress a significant risk factor for illnesses such as cancer and heart attacks, and is also hard on your digestive system. It can also alleviate feelings of depression and tension.*

Sharper Mind & Memory

Chronic stress has a shrinking effect on the prefrontal cortex, the area of the brain responsible for memory and learning. There is evidence that it may rewire your brain.*

Your sacred space could be a…

  • A meditation or prayer room with candles

  • A home gym with floor space and equipment

  • A yoga room with dimmable lighting

  • A reading library with leather chairs

  • A spa room with a dry sauna booth

  • A garden retreat with a water feature and plants

  • A Japanese tea room, modern or traditional

  • A soundproof music room with hi-fi sound system

What do you envision for your own wellness space?

Do you sometimes dream about your chill space and what you would have in it? Like lots of natural sunlight, a water feature, or integrated music that surrounds you? I can help you take that daydream and make it a reality – something you can enjoy every day in your own home. My priority is to create a space that is distinctly yours, and incorporates things you love that brings you peace and relaxation. This is about you.

So let’s start co-creating! I’ll have my own ideas to share, but I’ll let you take the lead. I also bring a natural talent for organizing and can help you remove the extraneous things in your home that no longer serve you and are now clutter, and place more focus on what you find valuable. Because less really is more.
